CONFERENCE ADMISSION AND MEALS

Organizers of the conference cover the following expenses for registered:

  • Access to at all scientific sessions and poster area
  • Coffee Breaks, Lunches and Welcome Dinner during the conference within its programm in the historical building of Slovak National Council, Župné námestie 12, Bratislava
  • Congress kit
  • Scientific programme
  • Field Trip
  • Conference Proceedings

Expenses of the conference are covered by the budget of the Slovak Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2016 and by the Ministry of Environment of the Slovak republic.

 

ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation expenses are not covered by organizers. Accommodation during the conference is at conference participants’ own expense.

TRANSPORT

Travel expenses are not covered by organizers. Transport to and from the conference venue is at conference participants’ own expense.

Train

Arrival in Bratislava by train

When travelling from Vienna (Wien Hauptbahnhof-central station) to Bratislava by train, you will reach Bratislava central train station (Hlavná stanica). For more information, see: link 
From the Bratislava Central Train Station (Hlavná stanica) you get the bus no. 93 link or walk down to “Hodžovo nám.”- it takes about 5 minutes.

When travelling from Vienna (Wien Hauptbahnhof-central station) to Bratislava by train, you will reach Bratislava-Petržalka (ŽST Petržalka) train station. For more information, see: link 
From the Bratislava-Petržalka (ŽST Petržalka) Train Station you get the bus no. 93 or 94 link or link to “Zochova.”.

Plane

Arrival in Bratislava by plane

The Bratislava Airport is connected to Bratislava city-centre by public transport lines. It takes approx. 40 minutes. The easiest way to reach the centre is to take a bus no. 61 (http://imhd.sk/ba/schedule-timetable/route-line/61) and change from the bus to trolleybus no. 212 (http://imhd.sk/ba/schedule-timetable/route-line/212) at the bus stop „Zimný štadión“. Your final stop is „Hodžovo nám.“ next to Presidential palace. From there you can reach your hotel and the conference venue within 10 minutes.

Arrival in Vienna by plane

Due to the excellent connections and convenient distance, Vienna International Airport is often used for travel to Bratislava. There are plenty of quick, direct connections from Vienna Airport to Bratislava bus station (Autobusová stanica Mlynské Nivy) or to the city centre (bus stop Most SNP). Buses leave from Vienna Airport approximately every 30 minutes, depending on traffic, the journey takes approximately 1 hour and the costs vary according to the time and the company (€1-€10).
